Your cryptocurrency donation is 100% tax-deductible. It is also the most tax-efficient way to support Green Chimneys. The IRS classifies cryptocurrency donations as property, meaning they are not subject to a capital gains tax and are tax-deductible.

By donating cryptocurrency assets without first converting to cash, you bypass the capital gains tax. This means you receive a 100% tax deduction on the value of your gift!*

Here’s how donating cryptocurrency to Green Chimneys works:

By donating through our nonprofit partners at Every.org, your cryptocurrency gift is processed at no charge to you or Green Chimneys.

  • First, you’ll complete an on online cyptocurrency donation form on Every.org. 
  • Next, Every.org will convert your cryptocurrency gift to cash. This is immediately transferred to Green Chimneys and is readily available to be used for our innovative programming for children.**
  • You will receive an online receipt from Every.org as proof of your 100% tax-deductible gift. Every.org will also notify Green Chimneys of your gift and contact information.
