Supporting Putnam County Youth
Weekly support/information groups are available for Putnam County youth. Guided groups cover a variety of topics in an open forum for youth to learn from and discuss with each other. Groups run for 8 weeks to ensure continuity and support healthy growth and decision-making.
Monday – Wednesday
Mindfulness Art Therapy
Activities to help reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood and self-esteem, create more fulfilling personal relationships, gain deeper insight and ways to develop compassion for yourself and others.
Anger Management Workshop
Learn ways to effectively manage stress and prevent anger from building up, begin to identify your triggers, and learn effective ways to communicate and handle conflict to keep anger from turning into a crisis.
DS4Y – Divorce Support for Youth
Divorce support group for youth who have experienced divorce. The goal of the workshop is to provide youth with support for the emotional challenges they are experiencing during the aftermath of separation.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION see details >
Comprehensive education on the risks of substance use, its potential impact on mental health, and how it can affect a developing mind and long-term mental health. Discussions include the relationship between substances and their effects on specific mood disorders, and co-occurring mental health issues.
Recommended for grades 7-9, or as guardians deem appropriate.
Weekly groups run from 4pm-6pm; call for specific session times.
