Lake/Water Activities
Clearpool Lake is a 9.3-acre natural water body, fully surrounded by forest and wildlife. A 30-foot waterfront offers swimming and boating activities, including Clearpool’s famous raft-building events! The scenic shore is a wonderful place to sit quietly and reflect on the beauty of the Model Forest and wilderness setting. Lifeguards are required for all waterfront activities. Please call about schedule and fees.
Hiking Trails
The Clearpool trail system consists of more than five miles of mapped trails, open to the public Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some trails meander along the lake, others climb to the top of the hills with views of the surrounding watersheds. During a walk, one might hear red-winged blackbirds, pileated woodpeckers or chickadees. Trees, shrubs, mosses, rock formations, deer, and more await the quiet forest explorer.
