Students in Green Chimneys School special education programs attend one of two campuses in Putnam County, NY.
The Brewster Campus serves more than 200 day and residential students in grades 2–12 and the Clearpool Campus in Carmel, NY provides smaller classes and a more intimate environment for 40-day students in grades 4–8.
The school sites are unified by the curriculum, central administration and an unparalleled level of expert support from a full staff of certified education and clinical professionals.
Each campus features school buildings, indoor and outdoor recreation areas, a dining hall, and farm and garden areas for educational and therapeutic nature-based activities.
Crowned the best for falconry in medieval times, gyrfalcons were once reserved for kings. As the largest falcon in the world, with exquisite plumage ranging from bright white to deep charcoal, gyrs are revered for their powerful skill of flight. Their long wings make hunting waterfowl from 3,000-feet-high a feasible and fantastical feat. This falcon was flown in the sport of falconry for several years.
